Any chain that uses probabilistic finality or any variant of the longest chain rule won't solve this. I am pretty confident in saying we already solved state bloat at Fantom.

Effective immediately, the validator self-stake requirement has been reduced from 500k to 50k FTM.
It's now more accessible to run a #Fantom validator. Additionally, lost FTM from early unlocking will now be sent to the SFC treasury for ecosystem funding.
